How Much Does A Celebrity Smile Cost?

If you swoon when your favorite celebrities smile, you’re not alone. Most celebrities spend a lot of time and money looking great, including the appearance of their teeth. Of course you swoon. We all do. Celebrity culture is designed to inspire our dreams and fantasies about living the lives of the rich and famous.

While most aspects of the celebrity lifestyle are out of reach for the general population, getting a celebrity smile is easier than you think. If you want to know how much a celebrity smile costs, take a look below at some of the dental procedures celebrities use to perfect the appearance of their teeth. We’ve included our base cost for each procedure so you can get an idea of how much you might spend on each.

Creating the perfect smile is not a one-size-fits-all procedure. Instead, smile perfection requires a highly customized set of procedures that’s different for each individual.  For some people, professional teeth whitening alone will do the trick, while others may require more extensive dental work including orthodontics, extractions, or dental implants. When it comes to cost, there are variables as well. For example, a single, straightforward dental implant will cost less than a more complex case that requires supplemental procedures to complete.

In general, however, certain dental procedures are common in the pursuit of perfect, camera-ready smiles. Keep in mind that not everyone will need the same procedures, and that the costs listed below are general. For a more individualized estimate of the best procedures for achieving your brightest and most beautiful smile, contact University Dental to schedule a consultation with Dr. Hage.

Porcelain veneers

Veneers are wafer thin porcelain shells that adhere to the surface of teeth to hide stains, cracked or chipped enamel, or other cosmetic imperfections. Kim Kardashian and George Clooney are two very famous celebrities who have dental veneers.

Cost: from $800-$2,000 per tooth

Professional teeth whitening

Although over-the-counter teeth whitening kits are available at drugstores, they are not as effective as professional teeth whitening by a dentist in helping your teeth radiate health and beauty. Justin Bieber and Megan Fox have both had teeth whitening treatments.

Cost: from $149-$400

Braces

Teeth straightening with braces typically takes 6 months to 2 years, depending on the scope of the treatment. Braces are not just for teenagers. Tom Cruise wore braces with ceramic brackets at 40 years old, and Gwen Stefani wore them at 30.

Cost: from $2,499

Invisalign

As an alternative to traditional braces, Invisalign uses clear removable aligner trays to straighten teeth. The trays can be taken out to eat but must be worn 20-22 hours per day. Most patients are able to straighten their teeth in 12 to 18 months with Invisalign. Eva Longoria and Katherine Heigl both wore Invisalign as adults.

Cost: $2,899

Dental implants

If you’re missing teeth, dental implants are the best tooth-replacement option whether you’re a celebrity or not. Implants function better, are more comfortable, and look more like natural teeth than any other solution for missing teeth. They also help keep your jawbone from atrophying, which in turn helps to maintain your oral health and your facial structure. Celebrities with dental implants include Christie Brinkley and Ed Helms.

Cost:

  • $2,499 for premium implant, custom abutment and zirconia crown
  • $13,999 for a full arch of teeth on 4 dental implants (All-On-4® hybrid implants)

Some of the treatments mentioned above can be completed in a single day, while others require a longer-term commitment. But all can be used to achieve a healthy-looking, radiant, and picture-worthy smile.
